New calling system reports outages faster

A hand dialing on a mobile phoneA new telephone system will make reporting power outages after regular business hours faster. Known as Interactive Voice Response, or IVR, the automated system will take the customer’s telephone or meter number via keypad to quickly report power outages after business hours. If the provided information does not match a customer account, the call will be transferred to a live person ready to help. Customers also have the option to speak directly to an operator if they so desire.
