Dawson Public Power District employs about 86 people.
Rural electric public power districts, like Dawson PPD, and co-ops are community-focused organizations that deliver safe, reliable and affordable energy to its customers. These utilities are unique because we belong to the community we serve, giving us better insight into our customers’ needs.
It takes a variety of skills to develop new technologies and infrastructure, keep the electric grid secure, and power the lives and economy of our local community. Our scholarship programs are designed to attract individuals to lead the charge in meeting our community’s energy needs and helping to create a brighter future for us all.
If you know of a high school senior pursuing a degree in Utility Line or a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) related field, please encourage them to apply for one of two available Dawson PPD scholarships. The Dawson PPD Utility Line and STEM Scholarships each award $1,500. The application deadlines are March 15, 2019.
