Dawson Public Power District’s mission is to provide safe, reliable and affordable service that helps you save. In 2025, DPPD’s incentive programs returned over $437,000 to our customers.
As a public power customer, you are an owner of this utility. That means when we find ways to save energy, offer efficient electric alternatives, or enhance safety, we pass those savings directly back to you.
2025 Program Highlights:
- EnergyWise: In 2025, our customers stepped up to reduce overall electrical energy use. By participating in our EnergyWise program they saved an impressive 17,688,186 kWh. We returned $333,200 to customers in energy efficiency incentives. The heat pump incentive remained the most popular choice for homeowners looking to maximize comfort and efficiency.
- Beneficial Electrification: This program gave $77,000 to those who chose to modernize their lives with all electric equipment and prepare for owning an electric vehicle. Our lawn and garden rebates led the way, with customers claiming over $29,100 to switch to electric outdoor equipment like lawn mowers, string trimmers and leaf blowers.
- Transfer Switch Safety: Safety is our top priority. Last year, 55 customers installed transfer switches to safely connect backup generators, receiving a total of $27,100 in rebates.
These switches prevent “backfeeding,” protecting our lineworkers from dangerous surges while they work to restore your power.
Ready to start saving in 2026? Whether you are upgrading your HVAC system or switching to an electric mower, we have a rebate for you. For more information, please visit DawsonPower.com/customers/rebates.
