Operations Coordinator – Lexington, Nebraska
October 4, 2022 – Ensures the smooth and effective operation of the operations department, including the communication and schedule coordination between departments. Is responsible for the coordination of crew communication as well as liaison between the District’s wholesale supplier and statewide organization related to matters of administrative importance.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Assists the Operations Manager and Safety Director in the District’s safety program by preparing meeting agenda and minutes, maintaining violation and safety award records. Assists with and initiates switching order preparation. Keeps a database of all switching orders for our substations and all switches and their associated numbers. Manages the scheduled outage calls to customers. Dispatches crews to problems/outages. Manages the SOS outage system and the NISC outage management system. Closes out outage tickets and prepares outage reports for the board. Manages the One-Call program for emergency locates or incoming and outgoing requested locates. The District’s loss prevention and control coordinator visits worksites and ensures compliance. The District has been safety accredited by The National Rural Electric Association’s Safety Accreditation Program. Dawson PPD also believes in public safety education with proactive advertising campaigns and a power line safety demonstration that has reached nearly 5,000 people in the last five years.
