Granny’s BBQ Beans

  • 2 – 15 oz cans pork & beans
  • 1 – 15 oz can black beans, drained
  • 1 – 15 oz can red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 – 15 oz can butter beans, drained
  • 1/2 lb ground beef, browned
  • 3/4 lb cooked & diced bacon
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 2 jalapenos stemmed, seeded & diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  1. Heat a smoker to 225 degrees.
  2. Add all ingredients to a foil pan and mix well.
  3. Place the pan in the smoker and let smoke until there is a nice bark covering on the top of the beans, about 4-5 hours.

 

Grilled balsamic steak salad

  • 8 oz. top sirloin beef
  • romaine lettuce
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 1 roma tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 small red onion, sliced
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup Feta cheese
  • pinch of salt

Dressing

  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  1. Grill steak and slice, set aside.
  2. Saute chopped vegetables in a pan with garlic and salt. Place romaine lettuce and feta cheese on plates.
  3. Top with veggies and sliced steak.
  4. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar.
