About The Utility Line Camp

The purpose of the camp is to introduce students to a lineworker career by providing hands-on activities that reflect common tasks on the job. Spaces are limited to ensure that students receive the best experience possible. Lunch is provided at the conclusion of the event.

Activities include:

  • Electrical safety demonstration
  • Bucket truck rides
  • Pole climbing
  • Underground boring
  • Utility equipment

The camp is open to students who will be an incoming sophomore, junior or senior. Participants must reside within Dawson PPD’s territory footprint. See the service area map and list of communities below for details.

What can I expect if I choose a career as a utility lineworker?

Where can i study utility line in nebraska?

Class sizes are limited in utility line programs. Dawson PPD advises those interested in enrolling to contact schools as early as possible.
