About The Utility Line Camp

Join us for an electrifying experience at Dawson PPD’s Utility Line Camp! Get hands-on with tasks that mirror a lineworker’s daily routine.

  • Learn essential safety around electricity
  • Experience a thrilling bucket truck ride
  • Discover techniques for climbing utility poles
  • Explore below-ground utility installation methods
  • Get up close and personal with the tools of the trade

Open to incoming sophomores, juniors and seniors. No registration fee to attend. Lunch is provided.

Participants must reside within Dawson PPD’s territory footprint. See the service area map and list of communities below for details.

What can I expect if I choose a career as a utility lineworker?

Where can I study utility line in Nebraska?

Class sizes are limited in utility line programs. Dawson PPD advises those interested in enrolling to contact schools as early as possible.
