Hayden Wulf

Kearney native Hayden Wulf has been awarded a $2,000 STEM Scholarship from Dawson Public Power District. Wulf is the daughter of Douglas and Kellie Wulf. She is currently studying Civil Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math.

In her scholarship application essay Wulf said that “civil engineers can work with architects and construction managers to ensure that the buildings and transportation options are made more practical for people of all ability levels. I hope to be able to use this degree to contribute to the accessibility and sustainability of cities and improve individual lives.”

“Dawson PPD aims to support tomorrow’s leaders by providing students within our service territory footprint these scholarship opportunities,” said Dawson PPD Communications Specialist Chelsea Gengenbach. “We’re proud to assist Hayden with her career goals.”

The Dawson PPD STEM Scholarship has been awarded to one student annually since 2017.
