Known as the EnergyWiseSM Program, customers are rewarded with incentives for making energy efficient improvements within their homes. The program is offered in partnership with Dawson PPD’s wholesale provider, Nebraska Public Power District.
The goal is to encourage customers to use their resources wisely. In turn, this energy efficient effort helps keep costs low and controls greenhouse gas emissions.

Spring
High Efficiency Heat Pump Direct Incentive OR Low-interest Loan
Now’s the time to upgrade before things really warm up. Dawson PPD will also give you $100/ton of cooling for a qualifying heat pump regardless if you choose the incentive or loan. Air source heat pump or variable capacity air source heat pump must have a minimum SEER rating of 15, EER of 12.5 and 8.5 HSPF.
Summer
Cooling System Tune-Up
Beat the heat and keep your cool all season long. Schedule a tune-up to keep your heat pump or air conditioner running efficiently. Apply for this $30 rebate every three years.
Fall
Attic Insulation
Add an extra layer of comfort and prepare to get cozy. (Maximum rebate $300) Attic insulation may qualify when six or more inches are added to an existing amount of less than six inches. Must have heat pump, electric furnace or permanently installed electric heat (ex. baseboard or radiant). Rebate applies to existing homes only; excludes new construction.
Winter
Heat Pump Water Heater
Anything less than a hot shower is unacceptable this time of year. $200 incentive for air source heat pump water heaters with efficiency factor greater than 1.9. $500 incentive for ground source heat pump water heaters, with efficiency factor greater than 2.8. Incentive for desuperheaters not available.
