2023 Energy Efficiency Rebates
Residential
- Air source or geothermal heat pump – Rebate or low interest loan
- Attic insulation for existing structures – 30¢/sq. ft. Maximum rebate of $600.
- Cooling system tune up – $30 incentive
- Heat pump water heater – $400-650 for air or water source
- Smart thermostats – $25-100, depending on electric or fossil fuel heat and installation by homeowner or a professional
Beneficial electrification
- Lawn and garden – 20% incentive of new, battery-powered or corded electric lawn mowers (push, riding or robotic), chainsaws, tillers and snow blowers.
- Induction cooktop – 20% incentive for 30″ minimum width cooktop or range
Electric vehicles
- EV purchase – No longer available. Federal incentives may still be available. Contact your local dealership for details.
- EV charging station – $500 for ChargePoint brand charger
- Pre-wiring for an EV Charging Station – $400 for new construction, 100% of the cost for existing structures with a maximum of $600

Wulf awarded $2,000 Dawson PPD STEM Scholarship
Kearney native Hayden Wulf has been awarded a $2,000 STEM Scholarship from Dawson Public Power District. Wulf is the daughter of Douglas and Kellie Wulf. She is currently studying Civil Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
