Day 1: Lower the thermostat and get cozy with layers.

Day 3: Take advantage of natural sunlight. Open blinds and window coverings during the day for extra warmth.
Day 4: Close the fireplace damper when a fire is not burning.
Day 5: Seal drafty windows and doors with caulk and weather stripping.
Day 6: Unplug chargers and other electronics when not in use.
Day 7: When possible, cook meals with smaller countertop appliances, like slow cookers.
Day 8: When using the dryer, clean the lint filter after every load.
Day 9: Rotate ceiling fans counterclockwise to circulate warm air.
Day 10: Install a smart or programmable thermostat.
Day 11: Wash clothes in cold water to reduce water heating costs.
Day 12: Lower your water heater temperature to 120 degrees.
