NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Substation Construction Project

Sealed proposals for the construction, including the supply of necessary labor, equipment and some materials for two rural electric projects of Dawson Public Power District, (hereinafter called the “Owner”) to be known as the Substation 26 project and Substation 35 projects will be received on or before 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 24th, preferably via email to bids@dawsonpower.com or in the office of Dawson Public Power District, 75191 Road 433, P.O. Box 777, Lexington, NE  68850, Attn. Mr. Cole Brodine, Engineering Manager, Telephone (308) 324-2386, at which time and place all proposals will be publicly opened and read.  Any proposal received subsequent to the time specified will be promptly returned to the Bidder unopened.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 1:30 PM, June 20, 2024, at the Owner’s address. Bidders may attend the pre-bid meeting virtually or view the recording.  A mandatory pre-construction meeting will be conducted a minimum of three weeks prior to commencing construction at the owner’s address.

The projects will consist of furnishing labor, some materials, and equipment, for the construction of Substation 26 and Substation 35. The projects should be bid separately for each Substation. Request bid documents for exact specifications. Construction is to commence on October 1, 2024 and be completed by May 1, 2025.

The Substation 26 project is located in Lincoln County in the State of Nebraska. The Substation 35 project is located in Dawson County in the State of Nebraska.  Both are near the City of Gothenburg.

Bid documents including construction drawings, specifications, construction contract and pre-bid meeting invitation are available to qualified bidders upon request. Requests for bid documents shall be submitted to Tyler Swaney, Engineer, Cross Canyon Engineering, at tyler.swaney@crosscanyonengineering.com.  Bid documents will be provided in electronic format.

The Owner will award the contract to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest and best proposal or, at its sole discretion, may reject any or all proposals.  The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond with sureties listed by the United States Treasury Department as Acceptable Sureties, in a penal sum not less than the total contract price.
